Find Your Feminism

Did you know? There are as many kinds of feminism as there are feminists!

Volunteers of, and visitors to, the WLU Centre for Women and Trans People* have always said that spending time at the Women’s Centre has helped them figure out just what their own, personal feminism is, and has helped give them the tools to act on their feminism.

The "Find Your Feminism" campaign organizers asked people from all over Laurier: "What’s YOUR Feminism?" The answers we received are as diverse as the people we interviewed, and that’s the point! Feminism isn’t a set of dogmatic rules to follow, it’s a perspective through which to view the world and a set of tools that will help you act to make the world better for people of all genders. Who you are, where you come from, what you’ve experienced... all of these things will make your perspective and your set of tools unique!

We transformed the answers that we received into a set of 20 posters to show the Laurier community what we mean.
