The 2010 Vagina Monologues were part of the Women’s Centre’s Radical Bodies Week.
The Vagina Monologues is an annual favourite on the Laurier campus. Written by award-winning activist and writer Eve Ensler, the Vagina Monologues is a series of monologues adapted from real-life interviews with women worldwide on the topics of sex, sexuality, birth, violence against women, and - what else? - the vagina. The Vagina Monologues attempts to demystify the female body by sharing true stories about different women’s unique but common experiences with their body and sexualities. Ranging from gut-bustingly funny to heart-wrenchingly sad, this play has something for everyone... women walk out feeling more love toward their bodies, and men walk out feeling like they understand the women in their lives a little better.
