The WLU Women’s Centre ran its first Radical Bodies Week, March 8-13th, 2010!

 It was a week chock-full of opportunities to learn about, celebrate, and have fun with bodies of all shapes and sizes!

TUESDAY - Birth Control & Body Literacy Workshop

Lauren Stallard of Sustainable Cycles and Rachael Baker facilitated an experience-focused discussion about personal choices and alternatives.

WEDNESDAY - Belly Dancing Class

Appreciating your body through dance: Intro to Egyptian Bellydancing

THURSDAY - Living LOUD meeting

Living LOUD is the Women’s Centre body image peer support group. All are welcome. Please visit the Facebook group and read the ground rules first. Meetings are held every second Thursday from 5:30-7:30 in the Women’s Centre.

THURSDAY-SATURDAY - The Vagina Monologues, Radical Bodies: A Collection of Monologues, and the Radical Bodies Art Exhibit.

Radical Bodies art and monologues are original submissions from the Laurier community.
Proceeds will be donated to the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region.
