Most backup storage devices have software that will compress your data so that more data can fit onto the backup media.
All of the Windows operating systems come with a utility called Backup and it is located in the Programs > Accessories > System Tools menu
If you cannot locate the Backup utility it may not be installed.
To install Backup, use the following steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- On the Windows Setup tab, double-click System Tools.
- Click the Backup check box to select it, click OK, and then click OK.
