Quick Start |

1. Windows XP - Go to Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections, Network Connections.
- OR -
Windows Vista – Go to Control Panel, Network and Internet - View network status and tasks, Manage network connections.
2. Right-click Local Area Connection and then click Properties.
3. Select Internet Protocol TCP/IP (network card) and then click Properties.
4. Setup DHCP (obtain IP & DNS automatically) and then click Advanced button.
5. Remove any entries listed in DNS and uncheck Register this connection...
6. Remove any entries listed in WINS and check Default in NetBIOS settings.
7. For the added security of your computer and it’s data, it is recommended than you remove File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
8. It is also recommended to enable the built-in Firewall. Click Advanced button on main Local Area Connection configuration window and then enable the Internet Connection Firewall.
9. Network configuration is complete.
