Installing drivers for your network card

A network port looks like a telephone connection only bigger. You can check if you have a network connection by taking the blue patch cable provided to you (pick up from the ResNet office) and try plugging it into the port. If it fits, you have a network port otherwise you don’t and will have to purchase a network card.

If you do not have a network card installed in your computer, we recommend you purchase a card at The Laurier Bookstore or at any major computer/office store.

You can install the card by yourself  or you can bring your computer to The Laurier Bookstore for installation and configuration.
