University Place Residence is a six-storey, 52 unit (138 single rooms and 56 double rooms) residence building that was purchased by Laurier in 1998 to respond to the very large demand for "apartment-style" residence accommodation. This building, located 500 yards from the edge of campus, was thoroughly renovated in the summer of 1998, and completely refurnished to "university standards" to provide a very pleasant residence environment complete with residence life programs. The building is managed by a team of seven residence Dons.

Each apartment unit in University Place has a full bathroom, as well as a common kitchen, living room and dining room. The kitchen is furnished with a fridge and stove. Each unit is also fully furnished, with the exception of small kitchen appliances and dishes.

University Place’s facilities include a recreation room, a study lounge, and a laundry room.
