Residence Application Procedures for Faculty of Education Students

To assist students who are entering the Faculty of Education in 2013, Laurier has designated a limited number of single rooms within shared apartment-style accommodations in the university’s residence system. To be considered for one of these single rooms in residence, students must submit a completed residence application together with the required $400 non-refundable deposit to the Residence Office no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday June 3, 2013. All residence space reserved for Faculty of Education students is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Online Residence Applications for Faculty of Education students will be available from the Residential Services website in March. A $400 residence deposit must accompany the application. This deposit will be refunded only in the event that the applicant cannot be accommodated, or if the Residence Office receives written notification by 11:59 p.m. on Monday June 3, 2013 that the applicant wishes to cancel their application.

Regular residence fees are for the 8-month academic school year (September to April). Faculty of Education students who need to stay in residence (after April 30th) until the Faculty of Education program ends in early May will be charged an additional fee for residence in the amount of $100. All Faculty of Education students choosing to stay in residence for the extended period must move out of residence by (date currently under review).

Similar to all undergraduate students, building and room assignments for Faculty of Education students are completed in June and notification is sent from WLU in the latter part of July 2013.

Faculty of Education students may move into residence on (date currently under review). Under no circumstances may students move in earlier than this date.
