How it works

This method requires withdrawal of the penis from the vagina before ejaculation. This method does not take into the account that sperm may be present in pre-ejaculation fluid. There is a risk of pregnancy if ejaculation occurs close to the vagina.

-No cost

-Always available

 

Disadvantages

-No protection against STI’s

-Intercourse must be interrupted

-Requires a high degree of self control

-Very low effectiveness rate
