Students, Staff and Faculty Welcome

 

Health Services does not anticpate that Flu clinics scheduled for the Waterloo Campus will be affected by the recently announced recall of Novartis vaccine. The vaccines we have received are not impacted and we encourage everyone to get their seasonal flu shot.

Dates: Monday November 5

            Tuesday November 6

            Wednesday November 14

            Thursday November 15

            Friday November 23

 

Time: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

 

Where: The Student Health and Development Centre

            First floor of the Student Services building.

                        Walk-ins also welcome with priority to appointments

 

Bring:   Wear a T-shirt

  Bring your health card or UHIP card

  You will be required to wait in the centre for 15 minutes after the injection

 

Note:   If you have a fever, wait until symptoms improve before attending

For staff and faculty this will be your only chance of getting a flu shot on campus.

 

Flu Facts

 

Influenza can be a serious respiratory disease that can keep you away from classes for a week or more. Living in close quarters can increase your risk of exposure.

 

You can not get the flu from the flu shot as the vaccine does not contain any live virus.
