Diversity Certificate Program 2012

The Diversity & Equity Office is proud to present the 5th Annual Diversity Certificate Program. This 6-workshop program will be offered from February - March 2012.

The Diversity Certificate Program was created to engage, challenge and educate the community on topics related to diversity/human rights/equity.

Each presentation is unique because it was created entirely by the individuals presenting (we believe strongly in the power of peer-peer learning). *Very few guidelines were given; it needed to be informative, engaging, and focus on diversity, human rights & equity.

*you must attend 4 of 6 workshops to receive the Certificate and recognition on the Co-Curricular Record (CCR).

This engaging workshop will get you talking ... about Mental Health. Mental Health is extremely prevalent on the Laurier campus - statistics show that 1 in 5 people will be affected by Mental Health issues in their lifetime. So why is it that we never talk about it? Starting with bursting our bubble, let’s shatter the stigmas related to Mental Health and work towards creating a truly accepting community at Laurier.
