Training resources & Workshops

As part of Laurier’s commitment to accessibility for persons with disabilities, the University has gathered and created a variety of resources to educate and assist its community; these resources are aimed at helping improve the quality of customer service on campus.

It is important to remember that in our formal and informal interactions with members of the Laurier community, each of us has a role to play in fulfilling this commitment. By law, each person who interacts with students, alumni, visitors, or retirees is obligated to know the requirements of the AODA’s Customer Service Standard and communicate with persons with disabilities in a manner that takes the person’s disability into account.

Please review the resources included on these pages to help you understand these obligations and requirements. Also, if you have not attended the mandatory AODA training for all Laurier representatives, please contact the Employment Equity and AODA Officer at to find out how to complete your training.

If you would like additional information or training on any topic related to accessibility or diversity, please contact the Employment Equity & AODA Officer at or at 519-884-0710 extension 4710.
