Resource Library

The Centre includes a multimedia resource area equipped with displays, print resources, interactive computer modules, CD ROM, video/DVD and audiotapes covering all aspects of pre-tested self-help information. Some of the topics included in Centre material are depression, body image, nutrition, spiritual growth, men and women’s health issues, and other wellness concepts. Students have the opportunity to take an active role in their own personal wellness continuum.

Print resources are loaned for a period of one month after the date of the loan.

Video and audiotapes may be borrowed for up to one week.

The Centre stocks a number of newsletters related to Health and Wellness including our own Healthy Hawk. Click here to view archived copies of The Healthy Hawk.

  • Nutrition Action, Health Letter
  • The Cleveland Clinic, Men’s Health Advisor
  • Health News, from the Publisher’s of The New England Journal of Medicine
  • Food and Fitness Advisor, from Weill Medical College of Cornell University

The centre provides:

  • A welcoming environment that all students can feel comfortable working in;
  • A video library on a variety of topics (ex. depression, eating disorders, and study skills, to name a few) with tv/vcr access on site;
  • Access to 5 computers with internet access with numerous reliable web sites already book marked for your convenience as well as a variety of interactive computer programs dealing with health and wellness issues;
  • A fairly comprehensive collection of written resources, ranging from books on healthy eating, to dealing with issues of sexuality to dealing with a death of a loved one.  
  • Open September-April Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30, May-August Tuesday-Thursday 8:30-4:30
