Posted: November 05, 2009       By: Casey and Doug, Student Support Co-ordinators

What Is the Student Support Program?

The Accessible Learning Centre (ALC) supports students with disabilities at WLU. The ALC’s Student Support Program is a casual way to receive assistance with in a wide variety of areas from other students.

Some of the possible areas include:

Transitioning Tips
Moving from high school to university can be overwhelming. Let a senior student share what they have learned about the transition and gain from their experience!

Campus Life
Take advantage of the diverse clubs, societies, and volunteer opportunities that Laurier has to offer. We can help you learn about all the opportunities here on campus, help you prepare for interviews (including STARR info), and help set up any accommodations that might be needed.

ALC Services
The ALC has a lot to offer, and our volunteers can help you understand and access these services.

Academic Questions
Get matched up with someone in your program who can give you tips about your courses, professors, using the library, and anything else you may find helpful with your studies.

Campus Accessibility
Unfamiliar with your class location?
Want assistance finding the elevators around campus?
We can help you with any requests about getting around Laurier!
