Individual Study Rooms for ALC Students

Posted: October 18, 2010       By: Jane Fridrich

In an effort to maximize the use of the rooms which were originally designated for PhD students, these are now available as Individual Study Rooms for both PhD candidates and Accessible Learning students. Beginning in fall 2010, each of these rooms will be bookable for three hours at a time. The rooms may be booked for longer periods to use in preparation for comprehensive exams, theses or major papers. Such time would need to be approved by the Graduate Office or Accessible Learning and the Library.

This is a pilot project that was approved by Library Council on October 6. For more information, see
http://library.wlu.caindividualstudy. For questions, please contact Julie Schnurr, jschnurr@wlu.ca

To Book: Using your Novell login, you may book your 3 hour time up to one week in advance by going to:
http://library.wlu.ca/booking.

Rooms are located on floors three through seven. Each quiet study room is equipped with accessibility software and is intended for individual study only (no TA sessions).

Keys for the study room may be picked up from (and returned to) the Circulation desk on the main floor of the library.

If you have any difficulty logging in to book a study room, please contact Jane Fridrich at jfridrich@wlu.ca
