The ALC is currently looking for paid tutors for the following courses:
ML100, EC250, History, Geography,Filmstudies,Anthropolpgy,Social Work, Astronomy and 3rd /4th year Business courses
Do you want to make some extra money?
Tutors can set their own rates within the following Accessible Learning Centre scale:
a. Undergraduate students: $15/hour
b. Masters graduate students: $20/hour
c. PhD graduate students: $25-30/hour
d. Non-student students (e.g. retired teachers or professionals) $15-30/hour depending on education and experience
Do you have: . Solid knowledge of your subject material (minimum GPA 9 in the courses you wish to tutor);
. Good communication/teaching skills;
. Sensitivity to students with disabilities (including learning disabilities); and
. 1-2 hours/week to meet with a student? (Hours are flexible. Tutors and students
decide together when and where to meet)
We are recruiting tutors in the follow subject areas:
. Physics / Computer Science
. Political Science (especially statistics)
and other subject areas...
**Prior formal or informal tutoring (or TA) experience is an asset.
