To kick off the Have a Heart for First Nations Children campaign, there will be a screening of the film "Shannen's Dream" Tuesday, February 7th, at the Aboriginal Student Centre at 2:00 pm. 

The film "Shannen's Dream" is about a girl names Shannen Koostachin from Attawapiskat First Nation, who had a dream that First Nations children and youth would one day have comfy schools and culturally based education. She worked tirelessly to try to convince the federal government to give First Nations children a proper education before tragically passing away at the age of 15 years old in 2010.
